Pegs: Adding pegs to your doors increases the handcrafted appearance and takes them to a whole new level of custom. Typical peg sizes are 1/2"x1/2" squares slightly protruding from door surface. Generally recommended wood for pegs is something with a complimentary color contrast. Placement of pegs is entirely up to the customers preference.
Distress: All distressing is sanded so that no one gets slivers or cuts. Any specialty distressing requests are welcomed.
Light- consists of square edges rounded over slightly unevenly with occasional chiseled scratches.
Medium- consists of square edges chiseled unevenly to provide a heavier worn appearance. The chiseled scratches following random grain patterns in the wood provide a weathered wood look with it's raised grain.
Heavy- doors are scraped with a hand planer to give the whole door a rippled texture. Square edges are chiseled unevenly and hatchet marks are placed throughout the door.
Finishing Details: do to the difficulty of matching interior or exterior design with the rest of the house stain color & brand and finish type & brand must be provided by the customer.
Glass: All glass is tempered or equally rated and is 3/4" double paned. We provide art glass upon request.
